Young Guns – Round 6 Review

The top four teams are more or less settled with Maties at the top with a points difference of 285 points clearly a lot better than the other hopefuls. TUKS, NWU and Ikeys seem to be the other semifinalist at this moment while Wits and UWC still have a mathematical chance to win.

UWC 35-26 CUT

In a close game, UWC hangs on to win against a very well coached CUT team who unfortunately do not have the talent of the bigger universities. CUT still without a win and with their two remaining games being against Shimlas and NWU it does not look like this team will have had any smiles on their faces during the 2019 season.

Shimlas 06-32 TUKS

The TUKS side playing in cold and wet conditions showed a lot more composure than their hosts, showing this old fart's suggestion that they struggle when not playing home is not true. Apparently, their backline looked a lot better than before.

Maties 83-07 UJ

NWU 27-15 Ikeys

NWU securing the number 3 spot on the log with this win against a good Ikeys side.
